I expect more out of my artwork than to create a pretty painting. Making a shift in attitude, can carry a message. Present day throwaway plastic bags highlight a need to address the amount of waste produced and tells the story of our global society.
The Mural seen here was inspired by the Niagara Escarpment; one of the world’s unique natural wonders and Petroglyphs & Cave Paintings; the oldest recorded paintings in existence. The background shows the topographical shape of the escarpment and Mount Nemo. The Jefferson Salamander references the importance of King Road in the annual migration of this endangered species and Burlington’s commitment to its protection. More information here.
